Dr. David Stein, Psy.D. is a developmental neuropsychologist with extensive experience in the assessment of children, adolescents, and adults. He has held clinical and academic appointments at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stein is the Founder and Director of New England Neurodevelopment and President of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society (MNS).
Dr. Stein earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his doctorate from William James College. He completed clinical training through Harvard Medical School at Cambridge Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by two years of supervised practice in clinical neuropsychology. He also pursued advanced continuing education in human neuroanatomy at Marquette University, deepening his expertise in brain structure and function.
While at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Stein served as Director of Quality Improvement for the assessment practice. He has built and maintains his own practice around these quality improvement principles.
Dr. Stein collaborates with medical and mental health professionals, independent and public schools, and educational institutions to provide evidence-based recommendations that are integrated into academic and treatment settings.
Dr. Stein lives in Needham with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys fitness, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
