Equity or Advantage?

Thoughts on Grading for Students with Learning Differences

We are excited to invite you to join us for a NEALS' regional meeting at Kents Hill School in the beautiful state of Maine on Wednesday, June 3rd from 2:00-4:00 pm.  At this meeting, we will enjoy some Maine-based refreshments while we explore the topic of equity in grading.

Through conversation and sharing of case studies, we will think about questions such as:

  • What grading practices unintentionally penalize students with learning differences?

  • When does differentiation become inequity in grading?

  • What policies do our schools have in place to ensure that grading practices are equitable for all students?

We hope that you will join us for an afternoon of shared stories and resources as we address this important issue.
