NEALS is excited to partner with Ethical Culture Fieldston School for an in-person gathering of learning specialists from across the NYC Tri-State region! While each of our schools brings its own mission, community, and approach to supporting students, many of us navigate similar questions, challenges, and opportunities in our work. What might we learn by stepping outside our individual school communities and exploring how our colleagues approach learning support?
Join fellow learning specialists for an afternoon of connection, collaboration, and thoughtful conversation as we share what learning support looks like across our schools. Together, we will explore the different structures, practices, and policies that guide our work, from learning plans and accommodations to academic support models, student engagement, and the challenges that arise throughout the academic year. Through these conversations, we hope to identify shared experiences, discover new approaches, and consider how the work happening in other school communities might inform our own practice.
Come ready to share experiences, ask questions, and learn alongside colleagues as we celebrate the collective knowledge and expertise within our region. Whether you are a longtime NEALS member or connecting with us for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you!
