      <title>Member Meeting: The Emotional Learner with Dr. Heather Adams (21 Oct 2026)</title>

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;&lt;a href="https://adamsneuropsychology.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Dr. Heather F. Adams&lt;/a&gt; is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She has specialized training and particular clinical expertise and experience in the diagnosis of ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders. In addition, she evaluates the exceptional abilities and characteristics of students and children who are suspected to be within the gifted range.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;She graduated magna cum laude for her bachelor’s degree in psychobiology at Wellesley College and was recognized by Phi Beta Kappa for her excellence in academics. Dr. Adams earned her doctorate in clinical psychology with dual areas of focus—developmental psychology and neuropsychology.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Her predoctoral internship training in clinical psychology was at the Boston Consortium. This included training rotations in both child psychology and neuropsychology. She completed her two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Boston Neuropsychological Services.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;Dr. Adams has also assessed and evaluated children as part of many research studies at Boston Children’s Hospital, including those investigating the cognitive effects of premature birth and learning disabilities. In addition, she is a certified teacher in secondary education in Massachusetts, and she has experience with applied behavioral analysis and behavior modification.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 18px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;" color="#273B7B"&gt;&lt;a href="https://www.ne-neuro.com/" target="_blank" style=""&gt;Dr. David Stein,&lt;/a&gt; Psy.D. is a developmental neuropsychologist with extensive experience in the assessment of children, adolescents, and adults. He has held clinical and academic appointments at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stein is the Founder and Director of New England Neurodevelopment and President of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society (MNS).&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 18px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;" color="#273B7B"&gt;Dr. Stein earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his doctorate from William James College. He completed clinical training through Harvard Medical School at Cambridge Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, followed by two years of supervised practice in clinical neuropsychology. He also pursued advanced continuing education in human neuroanatomy at Marquette University, deepening his expertise in brain structure and function.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 18px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;" color="#273B7B"&gt;​&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;While at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. Stein served as Director of Quality Improvement for the assessment practice. He has built and maintains his own practice around these quality improvement principles.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 18px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;" color="#273B7B"&gt;​&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Dr. Stein collaborates with medical and mental health professionals, independent and public schools, and educational institutions to provide evidence-based recommendations that are integrated into academic and treatment settings.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 18px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 15px;" color="#273B7B"&gt;Dr. Stein lives in Needham with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys fitness, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
